Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

What is Microblading?
Microblading is a technique using a super-fine pen (technically, a bundle of 12 to 15 needles) to deposit pigment into the skin. The tip is so fine, that it can create hair like strokes that look natural. It is used to create the illusion of fuller brows. Before starting the procedure, the brow area is cleaned and numbed for the treatment.
(No stencils are used).
Does Microblading hurt?

Topical numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure. Majority clients describe microblading feeling similar to getting your eyebrows waxed or getting a thin paper cut. Some clients take a nap during the entire procedure. Our goal at Virtuous Brows & Beauty is to make certain that our client is comfortable and relaxed at all times. Most clients consider the procedure to be virtually pain free!

Do you have to shave your eyebrows off to get Microblading?
Absolutely not! Our goal is to enhance your natural brow, and add to it anyway possible. Should you experience a medical condition, and lose your brows, we can also assist you, and create beautiful brows just for you!
How long does it take to heal?
No downtime is required after \microblading procedure.

The healing process for brows, after being microbladed is usually 10 -14 days. You will experience some scabbing and flaking around day 3 and day 4. The strokes will scab, and it will take up to two weeks for them to fall off and heal.

It will take approximately 1 month for the color to set in. We then look forward to you returning for your complimentary touch up appointment.

How long does Microblading last?
Microblading retention differs from client to client. Microblading will typically last from 1-3 years, but there is no way to guarantee this. It is a form of tattooing, but many consider it semi-permanent. To get more permanent results, we recommend getting annual touch ups, usually recommended at 6-10 months. Results may vary, and there are many factors that can contribute to brows fading faster. For instance, excessively oily skin, clients who tan, certain facial and makeup products, and not following after care instructions.
